Farmland Utilization Program (FUP) for Jamaica If landowners have farmland that they do not plan to use for the next seven years, they can make the farmland available to others for farming for seven years. If landowners have farmland that they have not used for seven years, the Farmland Utilization Commission can ask the landowners to make the land available to others for farming for seven years.
